About Us
After four years of researching the breed and locating a breeder (Edenvillage) Kumi arrived in 2012. Because she was born in the year of the Queens Jubilee she was named Edenvillage Diamond. For details of Kumi's pedigree please see "my dogs" page.
Kumi has proved very responsive to her obedience training and to build on this the decision to breed a litter was taken.
There was a lot of thought about who to use as a sire, I considered importing semen and travelling over to Germany to put Kumi to a male over there, but eventually settled on Stan. Stan comes from well-respected lines over in the US, many of these dogs have gone in to assistance and therapy work or are repeatedly described as intelligent, loyal, caring, calm and in tune with their owners emotions. This is exactly what I need. After discussions with Jackie Graves, from Edenvillage, it was agreed to put Stan to Kumi. Stan has already proven himself as a stud and after a successful mating the "Gold" litter arrived in September 2015. registered under the Awfyn Affix, read more about the history of the name here.
After the puppies were born Georgina assisted with the day to day care of Kumi and the pups. See the categories section under "Our Blog".
The aim is to breed intelligent puppies, with a strong work ethic. This litter and subsequent litters will be highly socialised following the Puppy Culture method before they leave for their new homes, encountering as many experiences as possible. They will go on car journeys and try to meet other dogs, cats and small furries wherever possible. They’ll visit the vets, be handled by children and get used to having health checks and their claws clipped. I want to give every single puppy the best start in life possible so that they can become well-rounded adult dogs.
I look for working homes or active pet families for my puppies and have a waiting list for the next litter planned for 2018/2019, please understand that I will match up puppies to owners. I would love to meet you and get to know you a bit before the puppies are here and see if the breed is for you so please do get in touch if you’re at all interested!
