She had a big pasting brush with loads of gel on which she used to coat Kumis belly (without shaving her!) and then she put the ultrasound wand on and had a look around, on the screen you could see little black blobs in a sea of grey, inside those black blobs were even smaller grey blobs, the grey blobs were babies! We were only there for 10 mins maximum, she was so quick! Carole asked if there could be any more hiding but Sam was confident there wasn't, if there was it'd only be one.
As well as telling us how many puppies there were she was able to tell us that Kumi is 4 weeks and 2 (now 4) days pregnant and took on the first mating we did.
The litter is smaller than we had expected but as Kumi only has 8 nipples it has worked out quite well. I'm sure the next 4 and a bit weeks will fly by and puppies will be here in no time.
Thanks Sam for such good work!
